"A dialogic session is the kind of stimulating discussion you have in a coffee shop or at a great dinner party."

- Oscar Venhuis, Co-founder EQ Lab

Dialogic Innovation and Learning System, also known as DILS by EQ Lab, is a simple yet effective emergent intelligence format to stimulate cognition through knowledge sharing exchange and cross-domain collaboration. DILS was co-created by EQ Lab founders Dr. Richard Claydon and Oscar Venhuis. Their unique live, virtual and cohort-based experience bridges leading organisational behaviour science with proven practices.

A dialogic session by EQ Lab is the kind of stimulating discussion you have in a coffee shop or at a great dinner party. Insights and learnings emerge from participating in the discussions. These are contextual to the discussions you have. Live dialogues are not about finding the right answer or a consensual conclusion. Instead it is a collaborative effort to explore different perspectives with others. You’ll question, investigate and reflect with different individuals throughout the entire session.

DILS can be broken down into three interconnecting phases. Firstly, it begins with new insights presented by the guest speaker. After a short 10-minute presentation participants join a longer virtual roundtable dialogue to discuss a set of open-ended questions. Lastly, participants rejoin the main group in which they share and reflect. This 3-step cycle is repeated several times that results in lively dialogues, better learning experiences and unexpected new social connections.

To thrive and make better decisions in today's complex world you need the right mental tools. That's why, like the gym to get physically fit, Cognitive Gym courses stimulate your mind to tackle ambiguity and uncertainty by addressing three agilities:

1. People Agility - how to work well with people from diverse backgrounds, beliefs, cultures, character and experience.

2. Change Agility - how to adapt one’s style in relation to unexpected changes unfolding in front of you and shifting the nature of the work.

3. Self Agility - how to understand the multiple dimensions of self, character, personality, psychology, emotions etc, within and beyond the work context.
