What do you do when wisdom speaks & shares it may not be wise to directly address how the BOSS is a core factor eroding a team’s change progress?

WISDOM: Just think for a moment: what benefit would be gained by pointing out to the hiring authority that they’re the source of perpetual problem X? Consider your future business prospects, too.

NAIVETY: Yeah, but in this situation, the change resistor is the big boss to whom I provide my feedback.

WISDOM: May the optimal scenario be to catalogue a series of questions for reflection & provide as a gifted leave behind?

NAIVETY: Are you proposing I leave space for self-reflection so their imagination can begin to create their own associations & previously unseen connections?

WISDOM: As a wise person once shared with me, ‘You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t get them to drink, especially if they can’t see the water.’


Perhaps we’ve all been the horse at some point in our lives; so, how can anyone nudge the change process along if no one’s got any idea of what’s in front of us? Neither the work nor the opportunity.
