Curiosity by Dr Becky Andree.
Dr. Becky Andree is exploring human growth in 4 sessions. Session 1 we explored attachments, how they enable and constrain development. In session we will explore the theme of curiosity.
The complexity of the world needs us to be curious. Our ancestors were deeply curious, they needed that quality to stay alive. Today requires even more curiosity about origins, intent, considerations, and even ethics. While curiosity is thrown around as the ‘magic pill’ to innovation, it isn’t quite that simple. We need to get back in touch with our core curiosity, become avid learners, and understand how curiosity can help us loosen attachments that can keep us stuck.
Questions that will guide us:
- When were you most curious when learning?
- When did learning shut down your curiosity?
- How would you define curiosity?
- Are there different types of curiosity?
- Where does curiosity derail learning?
- Where does curiosity enable learning?
