Cultivating growth: the role of play by Dr Becky Andree.
Â
Dr. Becky Andree is exploring human growth in 4 sessions. Session 1 we explored attachments, how they enable and constrain development. In session 2 we explored the theme of curiosity. The third session focuses on the role of play.
Play has been scientifically studied across a wide range of academic disciplines — ethology, psychology, brain science, educational psychology, evolutionary psychology, neuroscience, and positive psychology.
Together we will explore the various nuances and experiences of playing – what it is, how we experience it, and how play shapes the brain, opens imagination, and invigorates the soul.
