'Addressing the elephant in the room' with Lee Tolley.
Based on the suggestion by James P Carse, Professor Emeritus of History and literature of religion at NYU that;
There are at least two kinds of games. One could be called finite and one could be called Infinite.
A finite game is played for the purpose of winning, an infinite game for the purpose of continuing to play.
In this drinking dialogue we invite you to join a discussion to explore if our short term perspectives contribute to the convergence of current societal crises and by extending our vision to incorporate the infinite we able to re-frame some of the problems emanating from our workplaces.
Are we able to take a look at the inherent conflict between the two perspectives and find a way to hold a honest tension between the two?
Can we raise our collective awareness of our workplace needs through these two lenses and are we able to unveil the elephant in the room?
Lee Tolley
Lee Tolley grew up in the United Kingdom and after an undergrad education in the social sciences left the UK in search of a new horizon. He found this first in New Zealand amongst the mountains of the South Island before relocating to Sydney opening a satellite office of Hong Kong consultancy firm focusing on the first wave of Sustainable build and design in what is now a burgeoning Green Business model.
Feeling dissonance with some Greenwashing practices Lee reset his sights on learning how best to transmit the core sustainability beliefs to a larger audience. He did this by following his childhood passion of films seeing him retrain at the two pre-eminent film schools in Sydney, seeing the start of an unpredictable yet transformative adventure.
